Hello all! I apologize that this is my first post since I have been in Kenya, but I am sure that you can imagine why that is. It has been really hard these first couple of weeks to find time to write on my blog, not to mention the internet is a disaster. That being said all is not lost. In about a day I will be posting a pretty detailed (long) description of some of the things that have happened thus far. I have been writing them in a word document and it is as simple as copy and paste. So for now know that I am safe and that I love you all, and can't wait to share everything that has happened hin this amazing country!!
God bless
Chris

Hey Bud... I'm so proud of your giving spirit! I know your presence there will make a genuine difference in the lives YOU touch.
I miss our daily phone conversations and seeing you regularly. Please, please stay safe and just be aware of your surroundings at all times.
Just in case you didn't get my last email... All is taken care of with your car; Taylor has it as of yesterday. I drove down to OC to the CarMax and paid for the repairs, got your payment coupon booklet, met his dad and Taylor and we exchanged the keys. His dad called AAA Insurance (they have that insurance also) from the CarMax and and added the car and Taylor to their insurance and we canceled you from my policy. Taylor is going to pay me $50/month for the use of your car. So between his money and what I WAS paying for your insurance, I will use that money to make your monthly car payment for you. I also asked Taylor and his dad if they would change oil/lube the car every 3,000 miles. They said of course.
Anyway.... I LOVE YOU! Can't wait to read more from your blog!!

i am so glad to hear from you! i miss you so.
Hey Chris!! So good to hear from you in Africa! I picture where you are to be a rather primitive place, but maybe that's my imagination :) I am praying for you, I just know that since God led you there that He will teach you a lot about Himself and His people that you obviously couldn't see back here in the OC bubble :) He is a big God and we are all family, and even though you are half-way across the globe, you are in our hearts and we are so excited for you and what you are experiencing. Can't wait to hear all about it! Btw, we had a lot of fun with Diana in Yosemite. She was great to have along. We all miss you!
Love,
Jan
